Yet another productive day @Miller Memorial Library
Hey there! Today turned out to be unexpectedly productive, despite starting off with a lazy morning in bed until 1:30 pm. I confess, I skipped my classes and indulged in some serious sleep, but the day took a turn for the better when my sweet akka, that is my roomie, suggested a trip to the library.
Now, for those who know me well, this sudden burst of activity might seem out of character. After all, my usual routine consists of alternating between sleeping, attending classes, and eating. But sometimes, even the laziest of us need a change of scenery. I accompanied my roomie as we embarked on our grand adventure to the Miller Memorial Library.
It was a spontaneous decision, born out of sheer laziness (mostly on my part), but I was determined to break the cycle of lethargy and make the most of the day. My roomie and I each brought our chosen companions for the day – "A Passage to India" by E.M. Forster for her, and "The Rivals" for me. With our books in hand, we exchanged a knowing glance, feeling a sense of camaraderie in our shared quest for intellectual stimulation (it is also the fear of ESE) . And as we settled into a cozy corner, lost in the world of words and ideas, I couldn't help but smile at the absurdity of it all. Here I am, a self-proclaimed champion of laziness, finding joy and fulfillment in the simple act of reading. I immersed myself in the pages of Sheridan's timeless comedy. Taking a break, we decided to treat ourselves to some chocolates and juice before returning to our literary adventure. Energized and refreshed, we made our way to the first floor of the library, hoping to stumble upon a book that would pique our interest. However we ended up empty-handed. But we didn't let that dampen our spirits. We simply shrugged it off and returned to our original selections.
Time waits for none...Before I could complete the book, it was already 6:15. So we packed up and said goodbye to the library as well as the day.
