Evening delights

Spending time with friends is always enjoyable, especially when you share a special bond with your roommate. Today, my roommate and I decided to go out, starting at 5:00 pm. Our plan was to visit a store that buys old newspapers for cash, then head to the supermarket to pick up some snacks.

The clock struck 4:00 pm, and we set out. As we walked to the store, we chatted about our day and met few friends on the way. The store that buys old newspapers was not too far from our college, so we reached there in no time. We carried a bag filled with old newspapers that was collected over the past few weeks.

Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a friendly cashier. We weighed the bag of newspapers which was around  5kg, and the cashier offered us cash in return. It felt good to declutter our room while also earning a little extra money.

With cash in hand, we made our way to the supermarket. The supermarket was bustling with activity. We picked up a variety of chips, chocolates, and drinks to indulge in during the End of Semester exams. After all, we will spend a lot more energy while trying to comprehend the subjects.

I turned to my roommate and asked her to buy me some Pani Puri from the stall located just opposite the supermarket. The delightful combination of sour tanginess and crunchy puri always makes me feel like I'm in heaven.

As we strolled back to college, my roommate's phone chimed with a call. It was her friend, asking us to retrieve her parcel from the college's main entrance. So, we detoured to grab the parcel before heading back.

It was very small yet a beautiful moment to be cherished. It was moments like these that make life truly enjoyable – simple, yet meaningful experiences shared with the ones we care about.
