Inside My Cravings!
Hey there!
As a woman, I've come to accept that my body operates on its own unique rhythm, a monthly cycle that brings with it a range of physical and emotional changes. One aspect of this cycle that has always fascinated me is the way my cravings seem to shift and change in tune with my menstrual cycle.
During the days leading up to my period, I often find myself drawn to certain foods – salty snacks, sweet treats, and rich, indulgent foods that I might not normally crave. It's as if my body is sending me signals, urging me to indulge in these comfort foods to help ease the discomfort and fatigue that often accompany menstruation.
One of the most common cravings I experience during this time is for chocolate. There's something about the rich, creamy texture and decadent flavor of chocolate that seems to soothe my soul during those days when I'm feeling tired and bloated. But it's not just chocolate that I crave during my period – I also find myself longing for salty snacks like chips. Definitely these foods may not always be the healthiest choices, but during menstruation, they provide me a sense of comfort and satisfaction that is hard to resist. Like who says no to these...
From a research study, I found that these cravings are not just random whims of my taste buds, but rather a natural response to the hormonal fluctuations that occur during the menstrual cycle. I see my menstrual cravings not as a weakness or a flaw, but as a natural and important part of my body's intricate cycle.
Only by listening to my body's signals and honoring its needs, I'll be able to be ready for the next cycle(Am I justifying myself too much? Maybe...). I should show that research article to my mom and roomie so that they don't blame me but my hormonal fluctuations! What do you guys think?
