Jokes

I'm sharing my memories with my favourite snack when I was a kid.

As I stroll through the corridors of memory, I'm transported back to the cherished evenings of my childhood, where buying my favourite snack wasn't just fun, but a part of a heartwarming tradition shared among my family at the friendly neighborhood store. It was a time of laughter, gossip, and bonding, etched in my mind like the sweetest melody.

After my tuition ends, it was time for our family outing to the store. Sometimes it was Mom, other times Dad, and occasionally Grandma, each taking their turn to accompany me on this delightful excursion. Regardless of who was by my side, the anticipation was always palpable, as we shared stories and jokes on the way. It was like a reward for my progress that I made that day.

I can still recall the excitement that bubbled up inside me as we approached the store, the anticipation of choosing my favorite flavor almost too much to bear. With each step, my anticipation grew, fueled by the promise of crispy, flavorful wafers that awaited us inside.

Arriving at the store felt like stepping into a familiar embrace. The friendly faces behind the counter greeted us warmly, and the atmosphere buzzed with the hum of conversation and laughter. It was more than just a place to buy snacks; it was a hub of community, where neighbors exchanged greetings and shared the latest gossip.

After acquiring my snack, it's time for me to recount the day's events. It happens mostly when I was with my dad and occasionally with my mum.

Oh! I did not mention what snack it was... It is a wafers named "Jokes". It costed five rupees those days, available in a variety of flavours, though my favourite was orange and ice cream flavours.

I'm talking about it because I recently stumbled upon it during a visit to a supermarket with my mom and aunts.
