Sharing Joy

Guys!!! My mom sent me mangoes from home. As I received the parcel, the rich aroma melted not only me but also the delivery guy. I excitedly brought it to my room and upon opening the box...AHHH! I shared some with my roomies and saved some for myself and a stupid friend of mine.

So to cherish this moment, I'll be reminiscing about the summer holidays and the mangoes.

I remember the excitement in the air as we, from five year old brats to fifty year old, gathered in the living room of my grandparents' home, our eyes alight with anticipation. The mangoes, plump and fragrant, were carefully sliced open, revealing their vibrant orange flesh. The sweet aroma filled the room, making our mouths water in anticipation.

Sitting in the living room, we each took a slice of mango, the juice dripping down our fingers as we savored the sweet, tropical flavor. There was laughter and chatter as we shared stories and jokes, the joy of the moment binding us together as a family. My grandparents have four children, with my mom being the oldest. With each having their own family, the number of times we all meet can be numbered by a hand. One such time is during the summer holidays. So summer holidays were so precious to them.

For me, the taste of those mangoes was more than just a flavor; it was a symbol of love and togetherness. And as the years passed, our mango gatherings became a cherished ritual, a time when we could pause and appreciate the beauty of life's simple pleasures. Even now, the memories of those moments bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. In a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, those moments of togetherness are like a beacon of light, reminding me of the importance of family and love. Maybe now, I am miles away, but soon I will join them, eating mangoes and sharing happiness.

So here's to the golden summer days, to the taste of ripe mangoes and the laughter of family. May we carry the spirit of those moments with us always, finding joy in the simple pleasures that life has to offer.
