First Cooking!

Today was an unforgettable day. It was the first time I ever tried to cook, and I was not alone in this adventure. My younger sister and cousin brother joined me in the kitchen, turning the experience into a delightful family affair. None of us had much experience in cooking, so we knew it was going to be a challenge. However, the excitement of trying something new together made it all worthwhile. We decided to make something simple but tasty: mushroom gravy with dosa. My sister was in charge of "supervising" us, my cousin handled making the dosa batter, and I took on the responsibility of cooking the gravy. The kitchen soon turned into a bustling hub of activity, with laughter and chatter filling the air.

As we worked, there were a few funny mishaps. I almost cried while cutting the onions. My cousin accidentally spilled some of the batter on the floor, causing a mini-panic. Despite these minor setbacks, we managed to keep our spirits high. We joked and teased each other, making the whole process more enjoyable.

When the mushroom gravy started to simmer, the delicious aroma began to fill the kitchen. We tasted it, and to our surprise, it was really good. The balance of spices, creamy texture, and the mushrooms was just right. We quickly finished making the dosas, ensuring they were crisp and golden. The final result looked and smelled amazing. We couldn't wait to see our family's reaction.

Before we carried the dish to the living room, our parents and siblings gathered around, their noses twitching at the mouth-watering smell. The gravy wasn't enough for all and hence the dosas were limited to two. However, it quickly became apparent that the mushroom gravy with dosa was a hit. Everyone started praising our cooking skills and asking for more. There was a moment when we realized that there wasn't enough to satisfy everyone's appetite. It was both funny and heartwarming to see our family members, who usually don't agree on many things, playfully fighting over the last bites of our dish. My younger sister beamed with pride, and my cousin couldn't stop grinning. For me, it was a moment of pure joy and accomplishment. But, there was a problem.... about who takes the credit. Basically we should be fighting for the credit, but we didn't. Because... they'll ask us to cook in the future, if someone takes credit. So there was a commotion because of it. Despite our lack of experience, we had managed to create something that brought our family together in such a happy and fun way.

After the meal, we cleaned up the kitchen, still buzzing with excitement. We talked about what we could try cooking next time and laughed about our little mishaps. The best part of the day wasn't just that the food turned out well, but the bond we shared through this experience. Cooking together taught us teamwork, patience, and how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.In the end, it wasn't just about the food. It was about the memories we made and the fun we had as siblings. I am grateful for the wonderful day we had, and I can't wait to cook with my sister and cousin again.
